Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on 185 companies and individuals that support Moscow
“Companies and businessmen who transport personnel and military equipment by rail on behalf of the aggressor state will be punished.”, Zelenskyy said in the evening video address.
He added that the confiscated property will be used for the benefit of Ukrainian defense in the war.
There are 182 companies on the sanctioned list, including Belarusian ones that help Russia with deliveries.
Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine is working to have other countries block the assets of these companies and individuals.
He also thanked “all those who help strengthen sanctions against Russia,” as well as the investigators who detect and prosecute Russian sanctions evasion.
“In the city of Kostiantynika in the Donetsk region, three people died and 14 were wounded in Russian rocket attacks on residential buildings on Saturday.”, Zelenskyy said.
Speaking about the prospect of military aid from the West, he stressed that Ukraine urgently needs longer-range missiles to repel such attacks.
