Germany sends over 1 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine
German Finance Minister Christian Lindner has confirmed that the government has decided to increase international defense aid to 2 billion euros, with most of the funds going to Ukraine as military aid.
Ukraine should mostly use the funds to buy military equipment, US media reported.
The move comes amid pressure from Ukraine as President Zelenskyy today again demanded more weapons from countries that support him, but also after criticism from other EU governments for “the obvious lack of German support for Kyiv”.
