Air raid warnings were issued across Ukraine early this morning, and rocket attacks have been carried out in several cities in distant regions, including Kyiv, which have so far killed at least five people, including a three-year-old child.

As the BBC reported, a woman and a three-year-old child died in Dnieper.

Photos posted on social media from the city of Uman show a badly damaged nine-story building after it was hit. The head of the military administration in the area, Ihor Taburets, informed that three people were killed in that attack, and eight were injured.

The Interfax Ukraine news agency, citing local sources, reported that explosions were reported after midnight in Kremenchuk and Poltava in central Ukraine, in Mykolaiv in the south, as well as in Kyiv and the region around the capital.

In Kyiv, the air defense system shot down 11 missiles and two drones, local authorities said.

The head of the military administration of Kyiv said that this is the first Russian missile attack on the capital in the last 51 days.
