Russian forces have launched a missile attack on a rocket and ammunition depot in the Delyatin district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region of western Ukraine, a Ukrainian military official said today.

Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ikhnat said it had yet to be confirmed whether the missile used by the Russians was indeed a dagger, the latest hypersonic missile, or some other type of weapon.

Earlier today, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian army hit the underground warehouse in Deliatin yesterday with such a hypersonic missile that is now used for the first time in combat.
According to Russian authorities, the “Kinjal” carried by MiG-31 fighter jets has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers and flies at speeds 10 times faster than the speed of sound.
