“Last year, Ukraine seized assets of Russia and Belarus worth $1.12 billion.”, the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine said.

“In all criminal proceedings, assets estimated at 46.7 billion hryvnias (almost $1.28 billion) were seized. A huge part – 41 billion ($1.12 billion) consists of property and objects of property rights of Russia and Belarus. Those assets and properties have already brought the state 2.2 billion hryvnias ($60.2 million) in revenue.”, the Bureau said in a statement.
Among the seized assets are residential and business buildings, bank accounts, property, cars, financial institutions, funds, land, and minerals…
In March 2022, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed the law “On the main principles of forcible confiscation of objects belonging to Russia and its residents in Ukraine”.
