State Department spokeswoman Ned Price said the country was discussing with allies and partners the possibility of boycotting the Beijing Olympics.
“Part of our approach to this Olympics will involve close consultation with our partners and allies around the world. There is still time before the games. I do not want to set any time frame, but the discussion is already ongoing”, Price told ESPN.

The Beijing Winter Olympics will be held from February 4 to 20, 2022.
The United States may boycott the Beijing Games for violating the rights of Uighurs, as well as residents of Mongolia and Tibet. It was announced on February 6 that Norway had taken the initiative to boycott the Winter Olympics in China.
