After nearly 10 months of preparations, King Charles III will be crowned today at Westminster Abbey in London.
In a lavish ceremony in front of around 2,000 guests, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will be crowned today in London.
The service, which consists of five main parts – confession, oath, anointing, investiture, and veneration, has hardly changed in the last 1000 years.
Charles, meanwhile, will sit in a coronation chair that was made in 1300 and is believed to have been used at every coronation since then.
