A Russian rocket destroyed a residential building in eastern Ukraine – There were casualties
“Rescuers, police and utility services are working at the scene to go through the rubble of the destroyed building. There are probably still people under the ruins.”,Kyrylenko wrote on Telegram.
At least 44 people were killed last month when a Russian missile hit a residential building in the eastern city of Dnieper.
“This is not a repetition of the past, it is the everyday reality of our country – a country with absolute evil on its borders.”, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
In a separate tweet, Zelenskyy wrote that “the only way to stop Russian terrorism is to defeat it – with tanks, fighter jets, long-range missiles.”
Kyrylenko published a photo showing a four-story building that suffered extensive damage.
The Ukrainian editorial office of Radio Free Europe released a short video showing rescuers working under floodlights as snow falls on the ruins. Ukraine accuses Russian forces of indiscriminate shelling of civilian infrastructure, a charge Moscow routinely denies.
