Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a meeting of the military command in the Ukrainian region of Kherson, which is partially under Russian control, Western media reported, citing information from the Kremlin.

The visits of the Russian president to headquarters in Kherson and Luhansk People’s Republic were not prepared in advance, the press service of the head of the Russian state said. During the visits, Putin listened to military commanders’ reports on the situation in the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions.

It is the first visit of the Russian president to the Kherson region and the Lugansk People’s Republic. His previous visit to the Ukrainian regions under the control of Russian forces was on March 19 in Mariupol.
