Billie Eilish’s stylistic evolution has reached a new level. The music star appeared at the Met Gala 2021 in a glamorous edition inspired by “old Hollywood”.

The voluminous creation is the work of Oscar de la Renta and Eilish agreed to cooperate with the fashion house only on the condition that they don’t use natural fur in future collections.

Wavy blonde hair combined with an elegant dress and Cartier jewelry undoubtedly evokes associations with Marilyn Monroe. But Eilish said the styling was inspired by a festive Barbie that she adored as a child.
She was part of the small team hosting the charity event, which this year was joined by Anna Wintour and actor Timothy Shalame, tennis player Naomi Osaka and poet Amanda Gorman.
