This move by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge surprised everyone

Prince William and Prince Hary seem to have started a battle – who prefers the late mother Diana. After the controversial interview given by Prince Harry with his wife Meghan Markle on Oprah Winfrey show and thus raised an unprecedented storm – he made it clear that the whole situation reminds him of the one who survived their mother, the late Princess Diana. Meghan has repeatedly compared her to Diana. Now even older brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton do not want to be left out of celebrating the unfortunate Lady Di. With a very unusual move, they seem to want to point out that William is also Diana’s son and that he misses his late mother very much.

On Mother’s Day, all mothers, grandparents in the family paid tribute to Princess Diana. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared three congratulations made by their children to the late grandmother – whom they never met.

On their official Instagram account, William and Kate said that Mother’s Day would be different because of the anti-pandemic measures, which are particularly severe in the UK, and that many would be separated from their loved ones.

“We are still looking forward to the not-so-distant future when we can hug our mothers again. But for those who have suffered a heavy loss, these days can be especially difficult. Every Mother George Day, Charlotte and Louis make a greeting card that reminds them of their grandmother Diana, for William.”, wrote Kate and William. They added that they think of their friends, no matter what their life circumstances are.

What they wrote to the late grandmother Princess Diana

The heir to the throne boasted of three greeting cards made by their children, and it is especially interesting that they were written by George and Charlotte.

Happy, happy Mother’s Day. I love you very much and to you forever, George sends you a lot of love “, wrote seven-year-old George.

“Dear Grandma Diana, I mean you on Mother’s Day. He loves you very much. Dad misses you.”, said five-year-old Charlotte.

The youngest two-year-old Louis still does not know how to write, but he made a collage with a big heart for his grandmother.

Later, the royal couple shared a photo of a cake they made together with the children, and in addition paid tribute to their mother Kate Middleton.

“We celebrate two special mothers”, they wrote.
