HBO has confirmed that the sequel to Sex and the City will debut in December 2021. The Spinoff series And Just Like That follows three adult friends after all the love affairs.

Although it has been written for years that actress Kim Cattrall doesn’t want to play Samantha again, after much speculation and confirmation by the actress that she doesn’t want to work with Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays the cult, Carrie Bradshaw, the actress refused to appear in the new series.

The conflict between the actresses started in 1998. The tabloids 23 years ago wrote that the stars of the series do not agree, but everything came to light in 2017. Namely, Kim Cattrall rejected the role in the third part of the movie Sex and the City and on Twitter denied the stories of Daily Mail that she has crazy demands.

Shortly after posting on Twitter, Kim said in an interview with Pierce Morgan that the actresses weren’t friends outside the set and that the middle of the series was toxic.

A year later, the conflict between Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker escalated after Sarah expressed her condolences to Kim who lost her brother.

“I don’t need your love or your support in this tragic moment.”, Kim Cattrall told Sarah Jessica Parker.

“My mother asked me today – when this hypocrite will leave you alone. You need to contact me is just a painful reminder of how cruel she was and how cruel you are today. I will be very clear. You aren’t my family. You aren’t my friend. For the last time, stop using our tragedy to restore your image as a good girl.”, wrote Kim.

After very harsh words, Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that Kim Cattrall will not be part of the new series Sex and the City.

“It’s not true that I hate her. I never said that. I would never say such a thing. Samantha is not part of this story, but she will always be part of us. No matter who we are and what we do.”, Sarah wrote briefly on Instagram.

The creators of the series, led by Sara, have decided to include a new actress who will not replace Samantha. Nicole Ari Parker will be the new face in the new season of Sex and the City.
