The film is set in 1920s Los Angeles and tells stories of great ambitions, followed by ups and downs in the early era of Hollywood. Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie star, and Diego Calva, Tobey Maguire, Katherine Waterston, Eric Roberts, Olivia Wilde and Gene Smart also appear.

Babylon is scheduled for release in 2023. Previously, Chazelle experienced major success with the films “La La Land” and “Whiplash”.
