Their joint appearance attracted special attention from the Spanish media, which immediately began to write that there is probably something more than friendship between Tom Cruise (60) and Shakira (46).
The Spanish newspaper El Nacional published a story in which, citing sources close to the singer, it is written that she and Tom Cruise have been very close friends for years and that she confided in him about everything after she found out that Pique was cheating on her.
According to the media, the actor immediately after the premiere of his movie “Top Gun: Maverick” called Shakira and asked her when they could meet to tell him her opinion about the movie.
But since Shakira was going through a difficult period at that time because of the separation with Pique and because of the health condition of her father who was in the hospital, she admitted to him that she did not have time to watch the film.
“The day she received the call, Shakira was with her father and admitted that she still had not had time to see him.
That same afternoon, she went to the cinema with her sons to see the movie, and then she called Cruz and told him that the children liked the movie very much,” the newspaper writes.
According to sources close to the singer, she and Cruz have been friends for years but became especially close after she found out that Pique was cheating on her.

Allegedly, when Tom found out about the problems she was facing, he started looking for her every day on the phone, giving her support and help to get through the difficult moments.
Other sources, on the other hand, write that there are other intentions behind Tom Cruise‘s friendship and that the actor is determined to do everything he can to win her over, so he decided to be her shoulder to cry on while she was going through a difficult period.
There is reportedly chemistry between Shakira and Tom, and he really liked that she wasn’t taller than him, which basically happened to the actor often in the past – at 170cm, he is considered one of the shortest men in Hollywood.
