Carmelo Anthony has not been playing since November 8, 2018 and has to make a decision where will he be playing next season.
The 10-time NBA all star last played for the Houston Rockets where he signed a deal with last summer and was coached by his former Knicks coach, Mike D’Antoni. However, things didn’t go quite as expected. He only played 10 games for the Rockets and was a starter only twice.
In January 2019, the Rockets traded Carmelo Anthony to the Chicago Bulls. He did not play a single game for the Chicago Bulls and was waived by that team on February 1.
The question now so many people ask is: What’s next for Carmelo Anthony? There are so many considerations for the 35 year old and some still believe, despite his age, that he can still deliver at a high level. Right now, the essential team for Anthony to join is the Los Angeles Lakers where he might team up with his friend and Olympic teammate LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
However, with the massive trade that happened that got Kawhi Leonard and Paul George teaming up in Los Angeles, Carmelo Anthony should really think about his decision. Lakers or Clippers?
Nonetheless, there are so many other teams he should consider signing with and it’s too early to conclude anything when it comes to the future of Carmelo Anthony.
