The Ukrainian city of Kherson will use the ruble from May 1, Russian officials claim
Kiril Stremusov, deputy head of the region’s military-civilian administration, said the transition would take place over a four-month period, during which the Russian ruble and the Ukrainian hryvnia would be in circulation.

“After that period, the region will completely switch to using the Russian currency.”, Stremusov added.
