Kensington Palace has released three portraits of Duchess Catherine on her 40th birthday.
The elegant photo session was made in London by Italian photographer Paolo Roversi.
The lavish creations worn by the beautiful member of the British Royal family are the work of the Alexander McQueen fashion house, which was also responsible for her wedding dress.

Duchess Catherine shines in three Royal portraits for her 40th birthday
In the color photo, Catherine wears diamond earrings from the private collection of Queen Elizabeth II, while pearl and diamond earrings belonging to the late Princess Diana were chosen for the black-and-white portraits.

The photos will enrich the collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London.
The photos are supposed to be inspired by a photoshoot with a minimalist background of Princess Diana with photographer Patrick Demarchelier.
