The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, personally awarded citizenship to the talented singer for her merits in representing Albanians in the world through music. Next to her stood her whole family – parents Dukagyin and Anesa, brother Jin and sister Rina.

The 26-year-old musician was born in London, and her parents are from Kosovo. They left Pristina during the conflict and went to Great Britain. In 2008, they returned to live in Pristina, where Dua learned Albanian and began her musical career. At the age of 15, she returned to London, and in August 2015 she released her first single “New Love”.
