Legendary American tennis player Serena Williams, 39, has announced that she will not participate in the big WTA tournament that starts this week in Miami, because she is still recovering from throat surgery.
“I am disappointed that I have to cancel my performance in Miami due to the recent operation. “Miami is a special tournament for me because it is my home and I am sorry I will not see the amazing fans, but I hope to play next year,” said Serena Williams.
