Almost half of Ukraine’s electricity grid remains out today, a week after the latest Russian attacks on energy infrastructure, private operator DTEK said, stressing that dozens of workers had been killed or injured.
About 40% of the Ukrainian electricity grid is out of order
“Russia destroyed 40 percent of Ukraine’s energy system with terrorist missile attacks. Dozens of workers were killed and injured.”, DTEK said in a statement on Telegram, adding that electricians were making efforts to repair the faults.
Russia began targeting Ukrainian energy facilities in October. Great damage has been caused to the grid and millions of Ukrainians face a daily lack of electricity.
