The 46-year-old actress was invited to the White House to renew the Law on Prevention of Violence against Women, after giving an emotional speech before the Senate.

Jolie was accompanied by her 17-year-old daughter Zahara. The Hollywood star looked elegant in a beige dress.
“As those who have survived the violence know, the victims of our failed system are not allowed to be angry. You need to be calm and patient … But try to stay calm when you feel like someone is holding your head under water and drowning. “Try to stay calm when you see that someone you love is hurt.”, Jolie said in her speech.
US President Joe Biden has said it is time to change culture, not just the law to prevent violence against women.
