“Heroes come and go, but legends remain forever.”, wrote sculptor Dan Medina, paying tribute to the other seven victims in the crash, adding their names to the statue.

Gianna followed in her father’s footsteps and trained basketball, so she is shown with a ball in her hand.
Kobe was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He was married to Vanessa Bryant and they had four daughters together – Natalia, Gianna, Bianka and Capri.
