White House Press secretary Jen Psaki said US President Joe Biden “has no plans” to travel to Ukraine this week while staying in Europe for emergency summits.
“The trip will be focused on continuing to gather around the world in support of the Ukrainian people and against President Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, but there are no plans to travel to Ukraine.”, she wrote on Twitter.

Despite the invitation from Zelenskyy, Biden will not go to Ukraine
On CNN’s “State of the Union” show, US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield expressed strong doubts about the possibility of President Joe Biden visiting Ukraine this week when he leaves for Europe, saying “as far as I know, it’s not on the table. ”
Petro Poroshenko, the former president of Ukraine, told CNN yesterday that Biden’s visit to Ukraine would be “a symbol of our solidarity.”

He went on to say that Biden was “a very good friend of mine and a very good friend of Ukraine”, adding that the US president’s visit would be “an extremely right step to show that the whole world is with us against Russia.”
