Rebel Wilson is one of the actresses who surprised us with drastic changes in appearance. While many celebrities have complained that they gained weight or acquired unhealthy lifestyle habits during the quarantine, Rebel Wilson talks about how she decided to change her life for the better and how she dedicated her life to health last year.

The actress, who became famous for her role in Bridesmaids, managed to lose 60 pounds last year, and she documents the whole process on her Instagram profile.

Just before the global pandemic turned the world upside down and put filming on hold, Wilson decided to take a “Year of Health” on his 40th birthday.

She stressed that he will do his best to walk, hydrate, reduce sugar intake and make some positive changes.

Rebel Wilson lost 60 pounds in one year

Now, a few months after she achieved her goal and lost 60 pounds, she honestly talks about the whole process in her interview with Instyle, where she emphasizes that she regrets that she hasn’t tried to lead a healthier life before.

 

 

“Now that I know I can do it, sometimes I feel sad that I have not tried it before. Maybe I should have tried when I was 30, not 40. But everyone’s journey is different, and it’s not about a race or a competition. I have always developed later.

I started acting when I was 19, which was late. I was almost 30 years old when I came to America as an actress, which is relatively late. So I try not to compare myself to other people, but I have compassion for everyone who struggles with excess weight because it is something I have always struggled with.

This is why I post things on my Instagram from my trip. Obviously, I have access to some great high-tech treatments, but I realized that it is the little things I do every day that makes the difference. Like today, I went for a walk to Griffith Park (in L.A.) and it’s free. Everyone can go for a walk and drink more water and do small, permanent things that will improve their own lives. It is never too late to start, no matter how old you are.”, she says.

Asked how she stays motivated to stay healthy despite her many responsibilities, Wilson says it has become a routine for her to get up in the morning and work out for about 90 minutes at the gym.

She jokes that she has seen the documentary movie of her colleague Mark Wahlberg and that to a large extent what she does resembles his routine.

 

“It’s very similar to what I did. However, I do not want to be like Mark at 4 in the morning. Usually, I have to get up at 6 in the morning.”, she says.

 

This year, he says, has made her pay attention to other aspects of her life, from finances to her future career in Hollywood.

Currently, Hollywood is reopening its doors, and Rebel has a lot of responsibilities, she will appear in her first more serious role in the movie The Almond and the Seahorse, and next year she will try out as a director in the movie Girl Group.
